Face Painting
One of my first ever jobs was working in a kids club where I was often called upon to provide face painting for kids parties. I loved the wonder and excitement on kids faces when I showed them the mirror after painting their faces. Whilst I love creating cartoon characters, animals, flowers, butterflies and the like for kids I also wanted to experiment with different designs and patterns. However kids nearly always had their mind set on something specific when they sat down with me, so I started picking up the paints and trialing techniques and designs on myself.
There began my love of more delicate and artistic face painting designs and when I started attending music festivals later on I then delved into glitter, gems and embellishments. Creating bespoke designs and pieces by mixing up between using paints, glitter, gems, pigments and makeup is something I take great joy in. I get lost in the art and see where it takes me. Being able to create unique face “paintings”, for adults and kids alike, is a service I love being able to provide, and I’m only delighted any opportunity I get to whip out the paints!
